Industrial floor coating and warehouse flooring

Industrial floors take forklifts, pallet trucks, dropped loads, oils and cleaning chemicals. Heavy-duty epoxy and polyurethane systems run €50 to €100 a m², and the choice turns on the traffic, the chemicals, the temperature and how long the floor can be out of use.

Free, no obligation. One local installer prices it, not five.

Keeping the site running

  • Work in phases, bay by bay, so the rest stays open.
  • Nights and weekends, with fast-cure primers and top coats.
  • Polyaspartic or fast-cure systems where the floor must be back in use the next day.
  • Agree the cure time to forklift traffic in writing: at 20°C a standard epoxy needs about a week to a full cure.

Slip, marking and fumes

Pedestrian routes, ramps and wet areas need a slip-resistant finish: the Health and Safety Authority advises specifying a wet pendulum value of 36 or more. Walkways, bays and hazard areas are line marked in the coating. Ask the installer for the system's slip test results in writing. Most modern systems are solvent-free, so the site can stay occupied nearby.
